Anatomical model derived from the
Human Reference Atlas (HuBMAP), built from the
Visible Human Male of the National Library of Medicine (Spitzer et al. 1996; Ackerman 1998) ·
CC BY 4.0. The two organs are placed at the
atlas’s official position relative to the Visible Human body; the ~8 mm vertical gap between the two segmentations is closed by resting the bladder neck on the central zone, without altering the lateral or anteroposterior relations. The
urethra is not in the atlas: it is reconstructed as a tube between the masses: its opening copies the
real open contour of the bladder neck — taken from the boundary edges of the mesh and coplanar with it — and from there it follows the interlobar axis, the verumontanum and the apex, with the anterior angulation of about 30° at the level of the verumontanum. The growth state is a
schematic deformation for educational purposes, not the reconstruction of a real case.
